Automate · Smart Yard

Stop watering the beds in the rain.

Drip lines on your garden beds, run from your garden hose tap on a smart hose timer that checks the weather. Rain barrels off the downspout for the plants that like it. Nothing permanently installed, nothing buried, nothing cut into your pipes, nothing to do with your sprinkler system.

Everything on this page screws onto a hose bib and comes off the same way.

Starting price$395

Starting at $395 for the timer and two beds. Extra beds $95 each. Rain barrel, from $245 each installed — 50-gallon barrel, downspout diverter, stand and overflow. Nothing connects to the house's water supply. The lid is screened so it doesn't breed mosquitoes, and rain-harvesting gear is sales-tax exempt in Texas — we bring the form.

Prices are before Texas sales tax, which applies to some of this work and not to other parts. The quote shows it as a line.

What we don't do — read this before you book

We don't sell, design, install, maintain, alter, repair, service, adjust, consult on or quote sprinkler systems, and we don't connect anything to your water supply. In Texas that is licensed irrigation work (TCEQ Landscape Irrigator), and we don't hold that licence. We won't touch your sprinkler controller, valves or heads, and we won't connect anything to them. Everything on this page screws onto a hose bib and comes off the same way.

Why this works in Brownsville

The beds and the trees are where most of a Valley yard's water goes, and they're the part that gives up first in a hot week. A timer that reads the forecast stops the beds being watered in the rain, without a licensed system anywhere near it.

And a rain barrel keeps a fruit tree going through a watering restriction, on water you already caught off the roof.

Keep it working after we leave.

Smart-home gear doesn't stay set up on its own. Care Plans start at $19 a month, and you can cancel any time.
